This demanding technical course, lasting 6 months, is suitable for people who want to work as professional make-up artists. The course transmits theoretical and practical knowledge to the practice of the profession as a make-up artist.

Profile of Makeup Artists and Visagists:

The term “visagism” is derived from the word “face”. Visagism is the art of embellishing a face with colors and haircuts that enhance it. To obtain a harmonious result, it is essential to recognize and determine the complexion, determining whether the skin tone is warm or cold.

Description of the Makeup Artist Training:

  • Professional Makeup procedures
  • Knowledge of combinations of facial colours and shapes
  • Various Makeup techniques for eyes, face, and lips
  • Dermatology and technical professional knowledge
  • Professional bridal, gala, and photo shooting as well as daytime and night-time make-up
  • Procedures to prepare and create hairstyles
  • Hair profile and fine cleaning techniques
  • Separation of strands of hair for wrapping, wrapping techniques, and streaks
  • Repair techniques (covering up), curly hairstyles and their variations, banana hairstyles and their variations
  • Updo/ knot hairstyles and their variations
  • Braided styles and their variations

Note: Students should bring their own models to the makeup classes and will be informed in advance.

Conclusion of the Make-up Training:

During the Make-up and Visagism training students will be assessed by experienced specialist teachers. Upon successful completion of the final exam, you will receive the Swiss Beauty & Hair Academy diploma, certifying that you have the necessary experience to practice the profession and can safely apply it in practice.
